Turning Volume Into Value: The $1 Cushion Email Campaign

For B2B home textile businesses, volume is everything. Producing a competitive price per unit depends heavily on production volume — because the labor, time, and process required to make 100 cushion covers versus 1,000 cushion covers is largely the same. Additionally, higher volumes reduce fabric wastage, further lowering the overall cost per unit.

Based on this insight, I created an email marketing concept called “$1 Cushion,” built around a simple, attention-grabbing price point. The email clearly outlined the parameters required to achieve that price:

  • Minimum order quantity: 1,000 pcs
  • Size: 40 x 40 cm, vacuum-packed
  • Production and delivery: within 60 days

To build credibility and stand out from spam-filtered generic outreach, I used original photoshoot images rather than stock or supplier-catalogue visuals. This email was sent to a large list of global home textile buyers.

The concept generated strong engagement and ultimately resulted in the production and shipment of 500,000 cushions globally.

Key takeaway: In some businesses, volume is the key lever for cost efficiency — and when that message is communicated clearly and credibly, it resonates strongly with B2B buyers.
